John Agathangelou advises businesses, investors and private clients on complex disputes, high-value compensation claims and regulatory matters where the legal, financial and strategic stakes are significant. Before co-founding AK Legal, John advised senior government officials on legislative and regulatory matters and served as a Non-Executive Board Member of a regulated investment firm, gaining first-hand insight into corporate governance, financial regulation and institutional decision-making. This unique combination of litigation and regulatory experience enables him to approach disputes from both a legal and commercial perspective.

His experience includes complex banking disputes, investor protection, commercial litigation, regulatory compliance and high-value compensation claims. Alongside his litigation practice, he advises businesses on governance, regulatory risk and strategic legal issues arising in highly regulated sectors.

John holds an LL.M. in Business Law, is a certified Compliance Officer (TÜV Austria Hellas) and has completed the International Compliance Association (ICA) Specialist Certificate in Financial Crime Risk in Cryptocurrencies, complementing his litigation practice with a strong understanding of financial regulation and compliance.
